About these terms
Daybreak Home Support (“Daybreak”, “we”, “us”) is run by Daybreak PVT LTD, a private limited company registered in Northern Ireland with company number NI683832. Registered office: 2 Castle Lane Mews, Lurgan, BT67 9GE. VAT number: GB437620300. Email: info@daybreak-home.com.
These terms apply when you use Daybreak to find and book services as a customer. Providers also agree to the Provider Terms.
What Daybreak does
Daybreak is an online platform that connects customers with local, self-employed providers. The provider, not Daybreak, carries out the service, and your agreement for the service is with the provider. Daybreak runs the platform, takes payment and pays the provider.
Providers offer practical help at home. They do not provide medical care, nursing or regulated personal care. See What we help with.
Your account
You must be 18 or over and give accurate details. Keep your password private. You are responsible for bookings made from your account.
Booking and paying
- The price is the provider’s hourly rate for the time booked, plus Daybreak’s booking fee (VAT included on the fee). You see the full price before you pay.
- A booking is confirmed once it is paid. Unpaid bookings are cancelled automatically 24 hours before the visit (or 1 hour after booking, for visits less than 24 hours away).
- Pay only through Daybreak. Do not pay providers in cash or share contact details to arrange services outside Daybreak.
After the visit
The provider logs the time worked. If the visit ran shorter, the difference is refunded. If something went wrong, report a problem from your dashboard within 48 hours of the visit ending. If you do nothing, the booking is completed 48 hours after it ends and the provider is paid.
Cancelling
Our Cancellation & Refund Policy explains what you get back if you or the provider cancel.
Reviews and messages
Reviews must be honest and about your own experience. Messages must be polite and must not contain contact details or payment requests. We may remove content that breaks these rules.
Our responsibility
Daybreak is responsible for running the platform with reasonable care and skill, and for handling your payment and any refund as these terms describe. The provider is responsible for the service they carry out. If Daybreak breaks these terms, we are responsible for loss you suffer that is a foreseeable result, but not for loss that was not foreseeable, or for business losses. We do not exclude or limit our liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud. Nothing in these terms limits your rights under consumer law.
Closing an account
You can close your account at any time by emailing info@daybreak-home.com. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms.
Law
These terms are governed by the law of Northern Ireland, and the courts of Northern Ireland have jurisdiction.
